does anyone know if you can buy wheel nut sockets to suit a cordless drill or do you have to make them up yourself

Ummm, they're nuts. Why would you NOT be able to find sockets to suit?

i cut the end of a extension bar and then put on the socket needed. Works a treat. And the best part is i managed to convert my lawn mower to electric start. Gotta love dewalt

My bet is the cordless wont crack the nut loose.
Goto the spares and buy a $50 12volt impact driver..

Yeah I agree, my air rattle gun won't crack them if they're too tight, so a drill isn't gonna have anywhere near the torque....

yeah, I crack mine first of course. My drilll is a cordless. Its the easiest and cheapest way.

You can buy them from bunnings... mate of mine has one... beats doing wheel nuts up by hand in the bush.

the adaptors can be baught from any hardware store
they are a small hex(5mm) to the square half inch socket connection.

i ve seen them use cordless drills 24v ones in the budget v8 supercar series cause they were still running 5 stud pattern
