G`day ,
LT95 Gearbox with 12C prefix gearbox number which has 0.0996:1 high range ratio and is fitted to later high compresson 3.5 RRs , pre 1984 .
Can anyone please tell me the number of teeth on each gear of the high range set ?
Or where i could find them , have looked in the factory manual but only gives ratios .
Thanks , Peter .

LT 95 Transfer Teeth
Moderator: Micka
Thanks very much again Rod ,
Not thinking i would do any good i put the question on 3 forums .
The gearset is a gift for a bloke in NZ and wanted to be sure it was the right set .
Do you or anyone else know how to work the transfer ratio out .
Because 47/32 won`t give 0.996:1 .
Do the output gear and intermediate gear ratio come into it ?
Are the high range ratio and the output ratio? added together to give the transfer ratio or some other form of Math ?
As i said over there , the teeth count you have coincides with numbers i have .
I`ve just got the tooth numbes of the output gear ( 29 ) and still have to count the intermediate .
If i can get the right figures for low range gears ( as they are all the same in all my books ) by doing this i should be able to confirm your 47/32 .
Again , thanks very much .

G`day Rod ,
Rang Ritters and they say 47/32 should be 1.174:1
Should be 43/26 or 45/26 for 0.996:1 can`t remember which but whatever your 110 has should be them .
Also , although i haven`t done it yet , after some searching .
The transfer ratio is the product of .....
The ratio of the Main shaft transfer gear and input gear on the intermediate shaft
The ratio of the input gear and the high or low gear on the intermediate shaft
The ratio of the high or low intermediate and the high or low on the diff/output shaft
All the best , peter .

Gday All
Dabbled a little in changing ratios of LT95 t/c myself after changing ratios for the v8 for better cruising and then after conversion to a 4BD1.
I bought a stuffed LT95 suffix 12C for the 0.996 gearset and put them in my county. For better highway cruising I had 28/43 teeth (with v8) and then swapped in the gearset from the spare box which were 26/45. cant remember what teeth numbers were for original gearset
This is what I found :
The total teeth number for each of my 4 t/c gears are as follows:
main shaft gear = 29
input intermediate shaft = 50 ratio here of 1:1.724
output intermediate shaft =45
final gear = 26 ratio here of 1.730:1
(not sure of gear names put in order of drive, input t/c to centre diff)
giving an overall ratio of 1.724/1.730 = 0.996
Hope this helps someone out, both boxes had 29/50 gears (first two) only ever changed the latter 2 gears, assume they are all the same. Checked final ratio by drawing line on handbreak drum to backing plate then getting someoone to turn over engine with spanner exactly 1 turn and handbrake went nearly 1 turn also, obviously with car in 4th and backwheel off ground.
cheers
Luke
