Diff swap - lux

Post by Luxy »

Hi Guys,

I did a search, and couldnt really find the answer... maybe im just a dumbarse

Anyway, my diff decided to shit itself as I drove into work yesterday.
I havent taken the diff out yet to see what the damage is, but just a quick question.
I have a set of 4.88s at home. If My diff is stuffed, can I drop those in instead, obvisouly changing the front diff to the 4.88 as well.
The lux is a 95 diesel, standard 4.3 diffs, running 32in mtrs.
Also, there is no other changes/mods to be made is there, just swap the centres over?

Thanks!
Luxy

change or redrill the flages, don`t redrill the original 83 holes cause they still don`t line up

If your fairly competent with diff repairs you can buy new flanges for about $50 a pop. Much better idea than re-drilling the old ones.
