gearbox model stamping- hilux

Post by ash_on_mtb »

where is the model number stamped on gearboxes- I have a gearbox from a source, and don't know what model it is... I'm told its G52, but what can I do to check it. I can't see any stampings or plates on it, and the 'box is on the floor, not installed. I don't know the history of the box, but am *assured* that it is g52 and fits... Hell of a lot of work to find out thats not the case...

thanks.

found a little more info on petrol vs diesel 5 spd boxes, as I was wondering if the ratios differed, if anyone else ever needs to know.
