cheap 12v winch at supercheap

anyone tried one of these, i think they are rated at around 600kg, on sale at supecheap atm for $99, just wondering if they would be anygood for the winch used to pull suspension down as in what the buggy guys are now doing

This is what 90% of people with supension winches are using, along with a pulley. There have been a few supension winches broken but none of them were the super cheap winches.

cool, might get one I really need to limit my rear travel in my hilux in case both wheels ever come off ground, was going to use a limiting strap but i am thinking i may as well do it this way and have the other benifits aswell.

Make sure you get a decent switch to go with your SCA winch (ie power window switch- Jaycar) as they have have a tendency to dead short after a while.

Perhaps a HD relay to take the load off the switch.
