Water proofing/relocating electrics
Does anyone have any hints or tips for water proofing their land rovers? I tried a rubber glove over the dizzy but it wasn't quite big enough so have siliconed all the leads and cap for now. Would be interested to know what people have done about relocating the coil and/or water proofing the dizzy/coil/ignition module and any other vulnerable parts.

I have recently had new leads made up which have very tight end caps, this made a husge difference. I also had a longer HT lead made for the coil and coil is mounted inside.
I now plan to run low pressure air into the dizzy. I couple of people have said this makes a huge difference. If you run an air tank then you can just plumb in a pressure reducer and run a line into the dizzy or you can use an air horn compressor which is low pressure.
One other thing is a tarp over the front of the car. On a recent trip up Walker's track we had a lot of long bogholes with very deep water. Without the tarp the Rangie started missing and spluttering every time. As soon as I put the tarp on it was all good.

pressurise dizzy.
drill and fit 6mm hose fitting into the dissy body.
run compressed air DRY int this set pressure at around 5-10 psi.
this will keep water out.
use silicone grease or similar on leads. better to use top quality boots.
