flat spot in GU 4.5ltr?

Post by j-top paj »

just bought a patrol yesterday and been driving it around to get used to it.

i did notice that when accelerating it seems to have a flat spot at 3100rpm.
i noticed it on a couple other ones i test drove but didnt actually look at what rpm it happens at.
anyone else have this problem?? is there a way to fix it? maybe reset the computer or something??

also i noticed the fuel gauge didnt go right to the top when i filled it up. is there a trick to filling the GU? it said it was on 3/4 and when i turned the bowser on it clicked after about 3ltrs.
and now after driving 100ks it has finally settled on 3/4 again.
just wondering is the top half of the gauge not as accurat as the bottom?
i know in my paj the top seems to dissapear quicker and then the bottom half is slower to decrease. is this the same with patrols?

so far im happy with it, just little things i need to figure out and others i need to get used to..

also with the dual tanks, does that mean there is dual fuel filters? i got underneath and saw one infront of the sub tank, so is that the filter for just that tank? or is it the only filter for both??

Mine do this too, on petrol only ,not om gas.
When i installed the Dual-map Uni-chip it went away.
And drove 10 times better with more power and throttle response!
Economy didnt improve due to me driving harder enjoying the added performance.
