Well I have got my fridge now and need to wire it up!
Have read all that I could find on here and have got a lot of info but still need
some advice.
I’m going to run a set of wires from the battery with an inline fuse (50Amp???) to the back to a "distribution block/fuse holder????"...this is where I need help!
What should I use here or is there a better way of doing it?
Also what socket should I use for the fridge – a normal cig one or a screw together one??
Any advice with the setup appreciated!

You don't need to put a fuse block in the back but they are handy. I ran two wires down the back from the Redarc with 25 amp fuses (I think) in each one of them. They are attached to two Hella sockets in the back which runs the fridge and anything else I want. I would either go Hella plugs / sockets or Anderson plugs / sockets.
So did you only run the fused positive wires to the back and earth off the car or both the positive and negative from the battery?
Yeah Hella was one of the ones that i was looking at, but what about these from Narva http://www.narva.com.au/Switches_37.html
they are rated at 20A and are fitted with a screw terminal

I just ran positives and earthed off the car at the back. I also fitted blade fuses which is the same as in the Landcruiser. That way I only need to carry one type as spares. The Narva plugs look the same as Hella plugs, just different brands. Have ended up going for the Narva plugs rated at 20amp and then using a fuse box, one of these http://www.narva.com.au/Fuses_16.html
this should save me running too many Power cables to the back of the car
Will take some photos of the setup once im done, got to finish the rear draws first.....plus all the other stuf!!!

On that link, just for anyone else looking... I used to use the 5442x series ones, with the plastic covers, but lately have started using the 5443x series ones (marked "new" on the page) instead. The big improvement is that they allow one main positive connection to feed all the different fuses, instead of needing a separate lug for every connection. Well i finally managed to get the car finished - well mostly!!!
Here is the pic that i promised with the fuse blocks - i did end up using the ones that take one power supply and then split it.
Two positive cables and two negative cables where run from the second battery - one set was for the fuse blocks other to power the inverter
