HJ60 Air-Con Fan

Post by luxbloke »

Have a 1984 HJ60 and the fan for the A/C seems to have died. Nothing happens when you switch it through it's low/med/high settings...

The Air-Con is still pushing cold air (You can feel the cold air when you have fresh air coming through the vents). The Air-Con pump kicks in when the little blue button is pressed.

Can't seem to find a fuse thats appropriate to the fan though? Does anyone know or have had this problem before?
It's not the truck thats always getting stuck... its the driver... :finger:

theres a fan speed resistor in the air flowe path securted by a couple of screws that can sometimes die. worth a look, i'll have a look at mine this arvo and tell you where it is.. If that fails, i've got another blower here :)

Anyone got any ideas???

Ben, It's really weird, Nothing jumps out at me to say that it's electrically involved with the fan unit...

try dropping the connecter off the blower, its up under the glove compartment and putting 12v into it

if it spins its not your blower >_<
