TUFF TRUCK CHALLENGE 2006

Comp vehicles not registered = not insured.
TTC then needs insurance to cover them so the price of tickets goes up to cover extra costs.
Crowd angry cuz TTC too expensive then.
Solution:
Vehicles are registered.
Vehicles now have their own insurance, (of sorts )
TTC tickets still pretty good.
Everyone happy

Well the onus is back on the vehicle owner and anyway the vehicle wouldnt be able to compete if it wasnt regestered and road worthy because it wouldnt have passed scrutineering. Dont pass that then you dont drive. Take your vehicle home. So sad, too bad. ok, i know that Tuff truck needs insurance. they have it. therefore how does the rego insurance come into it? it doesn't
and by having the rigs passed in scrutineering the onus is now on the organisers if the proverbial hits the fan. and most of those rigs weren't roadworthy in the comp, therefore, the argument that the rego rule is in place for insurance purposes is pretty much shut down. so no, none of the compeditors were told bye-bye too bad, even though most of the rigs weren't in a roadworthy state. the insurance attached to the registration would be void in most instances if there was an incident at tuff truck, and the TT organisers would be liable, therefore they have insurance that doesn't require road worthy rigs, because i know their not silly enough to risk losing their livelyhood.
i know tuff truck is for buggies. my take on the rego rule was that it was a simple means of ensuring every competing vehicle had a road going base to them, instead of writing out tedious sections of the rule book with minimum frame amounts etc.

Has overall placings now, but I would have liked to have seen individual scores for each stage shown too I don't see that happening though

Scores have changed from the presentation it seems. We were 14th overall on the screen at the presentation, now 15th
