Flat fenders info?

Post by DeWsE »

Well guys I have been over at pirate looking at the old flat fenders that have been built up over there. Of course they are rather impressive and I must say I like the simplicity of these little jiggers.

I was hoping that you guys could show me what rigs are around oz and maybe a little tech discussion on them. I’m not saying I’m going to buy one but I’m very interested to learn more just that’s what I like doing.

Wooders have you got some pictures of your rigs ( I remember reading that you had a collection of jeeps so I figured this type would be in the mix)

I didn’t search this coz I don’t think that there is many threads in the section.

Thanks

i second that, there is pretty much nothing on here for the early flat fener jeeps.

just found out that a mate has an early stock CJ3B.
at preasent trying to talk him into doing a few mods.
maybe some lux springs allround, longer shocks and bigger tyres (should be leagle with 33's as its got 750x16's now)

but any tech has to come from pirate, sometimes this isn't relevant to us here in OZ.

Mate I'd LOVE to have a flat fender in my collection. But sadly I don't.
I do have a few older jeeps and when I get off my fatarse and do some work on them I'll share some updates.
Currently:
1975 CJ6 is getting a new interior, new hardtop & doors, rust repairs and generlalyy an extrame makeover of bumpers and other bling bits....due to shortage of medical staff though it's been forced to wait.
1981 J20 is 50% through a heart & lungs transplant - but due to shortage of beds in the Wooders Shed has been pushed to the waiting room out in the diveway.
Willys wagons - still in triage......
