When I was working at a mechanical workshop in Brisbane a few years back, an old lady would bring in one of those terrible dual sparkplug datsun bluebirds .. anyone remember those lemons? Anyway she always putted around town in it as slow as and it was always running like a bag of shite. So to fix it up we used to go for a blast over the gateway and rev the crap out of the thing ... used to blow some shit out of the pipe but it eventually cleared and always came back running as sweet as a nut.chunkz wrote:well when i went wheeling with 'big red toy' we got bogged and i revved my car the hardest i had ever...

Another thing ... when "cleaning out your carby" using the rev method, whilst stationeery, remove the airfilter and rev it up and block the top off whilst holding it on full throttle ... (say with a piece of plywood or something) then before it stall completely, remove the blockage ... that usually cleans out the jets.
You can use cardboard or a rag but I have seen these get sucked into the motor .. not good.
TD 80 Series, F&R Lockers, Winch etc
Not your hand with anything over 1.3 litres....OUCH!!!Another thing ... when "cleaning out your carby" using the rev method, whilst stationeery, remove the airfilter and rev it up and block the top off whilst holding it on full throttle ...
