cutting brakes or line locks?
Moderators: toaddog, Elmo, DUDELUX
You are looking at doing this for a tighter turn right?
We run 4wheel cutting brakes on the Mog Rover with an NP205Tcase with twin stick and never realy use the fronts to turn unless we are showing off. In comps we are constantly double locked so we only use the rear brakes with only Front drive and just throttle the front around but we are running a 302 so have the HP to do this. I think a line lock in the rear brakes will be fine. I dont think the CVs will handle cutting brakes in the front even with Longfields.
This is Sam's rig(STRANGE ROVER) im just the spotter and spanner man

yep, lookin for the turn
will probably just run the line loks in the rear
seen a couple guys runnin locks in the front too
just got me to thinkin too much, am running Long's
thought the cutting brake would be easier to use
cause the line lok , you gotta apply brakes to activate
that means to stop
nice ride you guys got there, like the clearance of the portals
time i got a set to my door , with 9 people taking a piece of the pie
they would cost a small fortune,
planning on putting this ride into competition, appreciate the replys

definitely only need them on the rear for the turning circle. AND the front will kill your birfs.... It will load them up really bad inside the star. The weakest part of a long!
hands and mums dont count!!!
