new battery

Post by G_loomis »

I am up for a new kick battery in the HJ60...just wondering what size/make you guys are using. Once the dual battery system goes, the kick battery will pretty much be a kick battery only...well...thats the plan!

Im not sure what battery suits, but try when you can to buy Exide, they are a good battery, but they are also australian made and owned which i feel is important these days, they have a standard warranty too.

Gotta say the Overlander's are good value. Got a 600cca in a nice small package, and cheap too.

Exide Orbital Blue Top.. 750cca and 52ah, cheaper than an optima, 3 year factory warranty, fits in standrad hilux sized tray (as an idea of size), spiral gell cell so no leaking, maintenance or vibration damage... $250 from Australian Battery Company in nunawading, bloke there gives you everything at trade price.

Im very happy with it, got me home from sunbury the other night with a dead alternator, and could still start the car 2 days later.
Cheers,
Dan.
