one thing i thought was real good about the weekend was the Standard car tracks. It was good to see off the show room floor cars being able to compete with minimal risk of damage.

I've put some pics up that were taken by some people from our club. They're here.

http://maddog.zook.org/blackrat_challenge_2006

Blackrat is a great social event, and we always enjoy getting up there to catch up with all the other clubs that you don't always have time to catch up with at the other events. So thanks to Onall4's for organising it again this year.

Unfortunately some bitching by another club about one of our vehicles ruined the weekend for one of our female drivers that we finally managed to get behind the wheel for an event. Hopefully people can understand that this is a fun event, not Tuff Truck or Woodpecker and take it that way in the future.

go the ONALL4s, what a good event.

i had a ball. My zook managed to get thru most tracks succesfully, with 2 drivers (2nd driver james having only driven it @ the event). No breakages, & only a lil luvin on the front bar to show it was their.

i think next year i will focus more on the funkhanas (where i got my lowest scores)..

i reckon on all 4s do a great job, although its not a real hardcore event, its a great weekend for socialising and some of the tracks are still reasonablly challenging. what i really like is not having to line up for 2 hours to do each event. we didnt have to wait for more than a few minutes to do any events. we,ve been to the event for the past 3 years and definately will go next year if its on again. a big thanks to all the folk at the on all 4s club for a great weekend

I've enjoyed reading all the posts regarding Black Rat and couldn't agree more....but this comment is for those who, whilst enjoying the pics would certainly enjoy it more if they could've been there....go and join a club, comps like BlackRat etc are but one of the lurks and perks of being in a club and the stronger the club movement becomes, the better chance we stand of preserving our right to do what it is that we love.....
just a little food for thought....

What a top weekend. We started off good, a couple of 90's and a hundred, then it fell to bits. But honestly it was about talking sh!t round the fire, seeing blokes you haven't seen for a year or so, and catching up. Gotta love an event close to home too!. Apart from a dent in diff housing, no major carnage. GO ON ALL 4's.
