RE: Whats more important? - Leon

Leon,
Hi, sorry i didnt reply directly to general list, but i wanted to offer my 2 cents without starting an argument. I am presently in teh same situation - I am upgrading out of the Feroza (which has given me the taste of getting into this sport, ande I will miss it) into a GQ patrol.

Being a memeber of the Gold Coast 4wd Club, there is alot of advice on offer, and the first thing everyone has told is - "Don't get Lockers yet. Learn to drive it and learn its limits first."

I admit, Lockers would be more beneficial then pure wheel travel. But, i think knowing when you need the lockers would be more beneficial. I have watched some excellent drivers at LCMP use thier lockers sparingly. Coming out of a Feroza with limited wheel travel, and going to GQ, I need to learn how to drive the car.

The way I am going therefore, is some suspension upgrades, protection bars, and tyres first... then lockers at a later date.

Anyway, that was my 2 cents, it wasnt meant to be a knock in the teeth or anything, and I hope i dont offend you or anyone else reading this.

Thanks
Heath

I'm still confused......why wouldn't you get lockers first ?? :? :?

As you say....you are still going to learn how to drive another car......so why not learn with lockers ??

Every time you do something to your new car......it changes things and you are always learning how it drives in certain situations.

Buy Air Lockers.....switch 'em off when you don't need 'em ??

What's the problem..........get lockers first !!!!
