GU/80/100 series rear link tube dimensions

does any one know the wall thickness and diameter on nissan/toy rear liniks? The reason is that i am converting my fj70 to coil and wanting to get the spec right for my rear/front links.

any infor would be much appreciated

Early 80's rear lower arms are 40mm diameter and a wall of about 3mm thick (very poor), just make them 50mm with a wall of around 8mm thick... worked for me :cool:

I have never played with the top rear arms, but they look solid 20mm diameter.

I beleive that they are hollow. Dow50r cut and shortened his and i think he put a 19mm bolt inside them and welded them up..

All my link arms are made from 45mm OD 7mm thick steel hollow bar.

on my GQ SWB which is being extended, i have some 36mm OD by 16mm ID, thus giving me a strong 10mm wall,

if you looking for it, its known as hollow bar, i know a couple of places in sydney who normally stock it,
