Drive Shaft - Rear for Grey Import Prado

Post by baby_troupe »

OK I broke mine last weekend and as it is a grey import (was imported second hand from Japan) and there are not many of my vehicle in Australia I was thinking that I may need to look at custom options.

Any thoughts on my best course of action & if you guys have any idea on cost it would be appreciated.

Any tailshaft shop can make you one up using your ends. Its just a simple retube.
Just measure the distance from flange to flange when the car is parked on level ground. Should be about $200 - $300 depending.

measure it, it might be similar/same as a 60 or 75 series - might just need to swap your flanges onto it or re-drill your diff and tcase flanges.

or just take it to a drive shaft shop and say 'fix please'

Thanks guys.

I had a feeling I could get the tube redone, but was unsure.

I will track down a tailshaft shop & have a chat.
