Benifits of diff Skid plates

Post by 4x4Monkey »

are there any real benifit of having the diff skid plates

cos after a recent mild 4x4 trip involving deep ruts i got stick on my diffs
I had the speed but its just caught on the train plug and stopped my dead in my tracks resulting in a recovery from another 4wd

I dont want to do anything major like chopping up the diff housing and making it flat, cos the problem just aint the serious enough
Dont worrys There's No Sugar

My 4x4 Is too clean.... Needs a Mud Pack

only thime that sorta thing is used is for protection aginsts rocks, whether its got a skide pan doesn't mean you will drive it becuase it will maks your diff clearance even lower. only way to combat this is do a diff shave or fitt larger tyres.
