Dicky seat problems - help please

Post by challenger »

G'day. I have purchased a 3rd row bench seat from a late model GQ to install into my LWB 1990 Maverick.

Everything bolts up perfectly except...

Now I find that the rear locking mechanism is different, and that I need to change the locking 'bar' in the boot to a later model.

However no one at the wrecking yards in Sydney or interstate seems to know what I am talking about.

I need the locking bar that runs front-to-back. The earlier GQ locking bar runs ACROSS the boot i.e. left-to-right.

Am I losing it, or does this make sense to anyone?

And where please can I find one?

Hey Dave.

Would it be possible for you to email me a pic of your locking bar (or post a copy on the forum) so I can show the wreckers? My email is:

dgolding01@optusnet.com.au

Cheers

Dave

I have my 3rd seat out atm and the locking bar also runs front to back, it's still in the car so if you have no luck with a pic will charge the camera up.

cheers fnq
