Pretty sure they have the smaller of the GU radiators. Might be worth trying to find a Late GQ td42 one as I think these where alloy. If its going into a GU then the later GU radiators are bigger.. They do hang down pretty low though.hillbilly wrote:Radiator from a 2000 GU 4.2 turbo.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
if you've gone to the trouble of a new motor why just fit a new alloy raditor get it race specd will probably cost about $600 - $800 but would be worth it.
Dusty had the same thing done to his GU ute when he put his 5.7 in.

So far no expense has been spared.
Not to say we are going stupid, but trying to keep the cost slightly reasonable ( ish )

Yeah Yeah Yeah. Thats what I wanted to do, but..... Radiators (custom) from joints like PWR range from $1000+.......
Where can I get one cheaper......anyone?
So.......I was wondering wether the GU rad. would do the job??
Then I could spend that lazy grand on summit else

Race Radiators in melbourne do custom alloy radiators they did one for a comp rangie was about $600 another one for about $800
Should be less than $1000 or at worst close to it.
Either way last thing you want is to cook your motor and i know no expense has been spared but dont skimp to much on cooling of the motor.

Set it up with the GU radiator and see how it goes. I would be surprised if it wasn't adequate. Also remember the water pump and fans make a big contribution to cooling, and the V8 will be running a good water pump.
I say this on the assumption that you are in a position to really test the setup before having to run it in anger.
