GQ EFI, what was the first model to have it?

Post by beretta »

G'day all,

Easy question for those in the know.....I need to find out what year/model the GQ's came out with EFI from? Need to get hold of a EFI fuel tank so hopefully someone with some knowledge can help me out!

Thanks for the help!

Cheers, Paul

as far as im aware, the only difference between the m odels is the fuel pickups,

Carby, had a stock pickup with small intank filter, similar to that of the diesel,

the EFI models had an intank pump,

but yes the tanks are the same,

Exactly mate, I want one with the intank pump! :D

Just need to know from what year they came with EFI and subsequently the intank pump and I will be getting a mate to source one for me.

Bruce, I'm starting to collect some bits and pieces for a V8 conversion. Long way off but thought if I start collecting now might not hurt the wallet so much in one big hit.

So anyone know what year EFI in GQ's started???

Mine is a May 92 model TB42e. The efi came out in 92' and I'm not sure which month but it has to have been May or earlier.
