Can anyone tell me if the front diff housing on a 55series landcruiser is the same as on a 60 series. As i have bent the one on my 60 and can get for free a housing for a 55.

No they are different, the 60 is wider and the flange that the brake backing plate bolts to is different ( 60 has 4 12mm bolts 55 has 8 10mm bolts) the spring pads are in different positions as well.
