Who insures their hilux?

Post by Yumsylux »

Hi there,
I got my bill for renewing insurance on my 94 dual cab lux. (diesel). For comprehensive cover, AAMI has gone up from $490 now to $690!!! What is everyone else paying to insure their car? And who else is you guys insured with? I got a quote from NRMA at $490 which is what I thought was a reasonable price. Premiums dont go up by $200 in twelve months. (you only expect that from petrol prices...)

I pay just over 600 for 91 DC, pretty much stock except for the Bull bar, canopy, side steps and rear step.

I dont have any suspension or body lift, dont have bigger wheels, so i dont know, they are all, Bast*rds.

I'm paying $570.11c just got in the mail yesterday, 89 SR5 2.8D d/cab Insured for $11,700 that's comprehensive and covered all the extras bull/bar, t/bar, wheels, canopy, stereo, etc and covered for off road use providing I'm not participating in any form of racing (year right in a 2.8D) 0r any thing in the way of hill climbs again racing etc. Pretty good I think, have had 1 claim and no problem although not my fault.
