2H Turbo/Na fuel economy and 2f LPG economy

Im looking at buying a 60 series landcruiser to replace my supercharged MR2, the Mr2 cant tow shit and i cant fit anything in it.
The main reason i want the landcruiser is to tow my race car, at around ~1600kgs inc trailer.
I want to drive it daily so fuel consumption is paramount. I was wondering what figures 2H owners out there are getting with or without turbos. Highway and city driving. I am concidering turboing to make it slightly less slower, i can perform the whole conversion my self inc fabbing any piping so that is no problem. Im just wondering if the turbo will make for better or worse fuel economy. Obviously it will make towing less excruciating
I am also concidering dual fuel 2fs, so any figures for 2f's on LPG would be good too (i drove a petrol 2f auto for one month, and my wallet was hurting at the end, god dam they use some fuel, so only concidering LPG )
Any help in making my decision would be great

OK. I had an 85 model HJ60. Before i turboed it, it used to average around 12L/100km on 35's.
When I turboed it, a mixture of country and city driving used to return about 11-12L/100km with significantly more power. It was pretty good.
Then I went wild, boosted it right up, and intercooled it. It got significant power gains again, but fuel economy started to drop. On the highway, it would use anything between 12.5L/100km to 14L/100km.
So in closing, after i first turboed it, i actually experienced better fuel economy and better power especially around town!

Are you turbo? If you flog it hard, it will use fuel. But driving normally will return relatively good fuel results. I do maintain my vehicles mechanically well. For example, the 60 had fully recoed injectors in it, so it was running optimally.
If your 60 is blowing black smoke, it basically means you are pooring fuel right out your exhaust pipe!

Sounds promissing, thats pretty much wanted to hear. Believe it or not 12ltrs/100kmh is about the same as what i use in my little 4 cylinder Mr2 Supercharger and a stock ECU thats tuned to over fuel like crazy does that :( it runs 9:1 AFRs on load on a dead stock healthy motor :S
Im planning at most 10psi with a not so crazy front mount intercooler, what boost were you running to get the better fuel ecconomy?

and only blows smoke hugh in the rev range (2500+)and generally oinly in 2nd and 3rd
could have something to do with the fact the engine's done 410thousand and never had the injectors out.
I experienced the best fuel economy with around 8psi boost, and only a mild adjustment on the fuel delivery. i got non turbo 2H and i get 700kms out of 90L which works out *does sums on calculator* 12.86L/100. WITH 7.50R16. I run injector cleaner through regulary and with 33x13.5 Mudzillas on i get 18L/100 (500km/tank). I'd love some tips on how to get those figures with the muds on My car does NOT blow any smoke so i dunno, but i got a mate with a gq pootrol (imported and bought less than a yr ago)(4.2D) and he gets near identical figures to me. Just to throw something at ya

well my petrol cruiser gets 15L/100kms on the highway and 17L/100kms around town
i have almost fitted the gas system to mine and im told by another fj60 LPG owner that he gets 10L/100kms highway and remember LPG is less then half price
so on fuel $30 gets 150kms
on gas $30 gets 600kms
get gas if your only towing for sure

LPG has less energy content than petrol, so it shoulkd be closer to 20L/100.
