hey guys i have a shitty alloy bar on my gq just wondering if you can paint alloy and if so whats involved any help would be great.

yep. clean well and give it a light rub with 600 grit wet / dry hit it with supercheap etch primer (nothing else is nearly as good in any price range) than a good coat of decent 2 pac and you will be sweet

IMHO the alloy bar is only fit for temporary use anyway, because only a steel bar will actually provide worthwhile off-road protection.

That's not to say it's not worth painting for looks in the meantime, but I'd be looking out for a steel one anyway.

im getting a custom tube bar built but as its a freebie the time is ticking by because it being done in spare time and i just want the alloy bar to look half decent for the moment and hey i might get a bit more for it when i sell it
