ARB Xtreme Winch Challenge Series :- Round2
Just a quick one.
Have just arrived back from Rocky, did I like what I saw - YES, GREAT !!!!!!!!
The competitors can even book Motel accomodation 5 minutes away from the event site, which happens to be appox 4km's from the highway on the main road into Yeppon. Competitors vehicle will stay at competition area and crews will have to be back at Xtreme Base by briefing each morning.
Plenty of camping including showers etc. There will be more info on my web site very soon on all the final details for Round2.
Hopefully I will be able to supply bus's to take us to dinner on Saturday night. This will be for competitor's and there supporters. Tickets and payment will be a must for this dinner as seats will be limited. More on this.
later.
Cheers
David (MMM)

Round 2 ARB XWC
It is great to see that the boys from the North are going to be involved. I want Round 2 to be a yearly event up North. Look out for the TV adds starting end of may out of 10 in Rocky.
Should be a big one.
I will be away in the desert for the next couple of weeks.
Cheers

ARB XTREME WINCH CHALLENGE
Am back from a great trip to the Desert & Alice (Survey for next years Family Adventure).
Round 2 entries are well and truly open.
This Round has created a lot of interest in the North. For those up there watch out for the TV adds, let me know what you think.
Also a note to all entrants, entry & fee has to be to me by the 15th June (I am leaving 16th to set up). Also will need numbers for any extra for the dinner at the Hotel Saturday night. Bus will be available to take you from the site to the Hotel & return that evening (Cost is $8).
All enquires direct to xtremedcm@bigpond.com or give me a call on 0418 745830 Business hours (07) 5498 6962

Good morning, well not much time left until Round 2, I am really looking forward to setting up this event in Rocky. TV adds for Round 2 started this weekend, so we should see some spectators there as well.
I will be leaving 16th June along with Charterboat (Scott Barker) to set up for the weekend. We will be based at Glenmore Hotel for the duration of our stay in Rocky.
The Xtreme XWC Base is “Seeone Park” which is appox 4.2 k’s down the Yepoon Road (just before the Go-kart Track) on the left hand side. There are showers & toilets on site. The partners (wives/girlfriends) & their children (under 13) of both the driver & co-driver will be admitted FOC to the Event Area, any other support crew will be charged $15 per day and if own vehicle $10 per vehicle for camping. If you are staying away from the Xtreme Base, the Competition Vehicle must stay on site in “Competition Compound”.
Entries ($330) are open now and close on the 15th June, so please get them in. I will also need any extra numbers that you want to bring along to dinner Saturday night at Glenmore Hotel so I can book the function area. The bus to the Hotel will cost $8 per head return and if there is any surplus $ at the end, it will be donated to Angel Flight. We will also be having a Charity auction on the night as well as the usual Calcutta; if you can donate any product for Auction would be great, just bring them along and let me know.
Note both driver & co driver will receive a $20 main meal ticket for the evening this is for the main meal only and is non-transferable, so if you order a main meal for $26.50 you will pay the extra $6.50. They will be no breakfast supplied, but food & drinks will be available for purchase from the Scouts over the weekend. There will be no alcohol on sale over the weekend so BYO & cans only please. All rubbish from competitors camps must be taken home or to the dump, thanks.
If you have any questions drop me a line or call me direct.
Cheers

XWC Round 2
Hi, MMM & his trusty officials (Charterboat & Turtle) have just arrrived in Rocky. Weather is great - no need for jumpers.
We were met at the Glenmore Hotel by the MMM fan club, what a welcome (possible to much Redbull + vodka).
If the reception we have had tonight at the Glenmore Hotel is anything to go by, "Seeonee Park" on the Yeppoon Road, the venue for Round 2 of the ARB Xtreme Winch Challenge Series will be the place to be, come the 23rd June.
Looking forward to catching up with all next weekend.
Cheers

ARB Xtreme
Spent Saturday & Sunday at Xtreme Base.
Very different terrain and looking great. We have already set up Friday nights & some of Saturdays & Sundays SS.
SS1 Is a need for a bit of speed with no winching, this should settle everyone's nerves.
SS2 Now the fun starts (1 winch).
SS3 This SS is very neat, and you will have to think very hard on this one if it is going to work for you. It will be easy or very hard depending on your Teamwork.
Both SS 2&3 are very spectator friendly.
The SS we have so far set up for Saturday, are very spectator friendly and have at least 2 winches in each and some added surprises as well.
We have also managed to check out the menu at Glenmore Hotel. (Saturday night's dinner venue) - GREAT!!!!!!!
If you are booked in at the Glenmore Motel you will be very pleased with the rooms & service.
If you are camping:- Area very flat and fires allowed (don't worry about fire wood as there is plenty)
Thats all for now.
Cheers
David (MMM)
PS:- Be great to catch up again Steve.

Knowing Seeonee Park, I would suggest that anyone intending to camp bring some drinking water. There is bore water on tap at various places through the park. The scouts rely on tank water for drinking, so if you can BYO, that would be appreciated by them.
I assume camping will be the other side of the creek, near Brown Hut, probably the same area as where the CQORC Corroboree was a few years ago.

Mud makes excellent toothpaste.
ARB Round 2
Have had a few showers today. SS are looking real good, many thanks to Bob Eddy (Turtle) & Scott Barker (Charterboat) for all their hard work.
Camping is over near the far showers & Unisex toilet block area. More toilets and showers at the main Scouts Admin area.
To be sure of adequate water supply for drinking please bring your own.
Look forward to catching up with all this weekend
Cheers

Does not surprise me about Brad Cooper. You can figure that he would do it once in every race meet. Better luck next time or just buy a Patrol. Hope you and navi are allright.
