Radiator size

Post by demo2 »

I've noticed that the p40 engined patrols have a bigger inlet and outlet than the L28 ones. I used my original rad and stepped it up midway in the hoses to suit the V8. Had i of known the p40 rad has same size as the V8 outlet etc i woulda used one. Does it have same amount of cores or more?

So do the diesel MQ's. Same radiator otherwise, I believe, just the inlet and outlet pipes are bigger. My diesel radiator in perfect condition was stolen, so I had to reuse my L28 radiator for the V8. I cut a 40mm long section of L28 hose and slipped it over the end. Then I just pushed the diesel hoses over that and clamped them tight. Was a nice fit.
