problem with gu 4.8 tiptronic 5 speed auto

A mate of mine has a 4.8 gu he bought 2nd hand, anyways he now has a serious problem with the 5 speed auto .
his rig has only done 135thou

he took agear box dude for a run in the gu and what ever the proiblem is its going to be expensive

its jumping out of gear

I was talkin to him about these few weeks ago - yes. they are expensive to repair.

there was one forsale on here few weeks ago $2500 if I remember.

we are in perth , but his rig has no warrenty he only got a 3 month warrenty from the yard where he bought his rig and that has run out.

I suppose anything to do with gearboxs is expensive , when i had my 3.0v6 paj i had the 5 speed overhauled(sychros) and that cost me over 3 grand

I realise your in perth, Rodney does gearbox's for all over the world, and most places send box's to him.

call him for advice would be your best bet.
