What's the prob will swapping a GQ 4.2 petrol auto in?

yea GQ auto will, but was wondering about 3.0 oens since more of em around.

4.8's are apparently a nightmare to put in anything else... one 4b store in Melb has been tryin to get one working with a Chev 6.5 for 9 mths. Brunswick wont touch them!

I'd be guessing with all the drive by wire shit in the 3.0ltr, even if the box bolted up, it would still be a pain in ring to seperate the loom and ecu/s, etc anyway.

Exactly. And to keep running and service etc.

I remember morkz recently posting a forsale ad for a GU 4.2 Auto in UnZud.. tryin to find that now :)
