2001 Hungy 3" lift

Post by A1 »

I recently bought a 2001 mod cruiser ( 100-105 series) ....and im looking @ installing a 3" lovells springs and shocks and caster correction (bushes)

Have a few questions for any 1 out there in cyber (outers) space that have lifted theres roughly the same .I had a look under the cruiser 2day and noticed some pretty short brake lines (obvoiusly fine for a stocko ) but was curoius to know whether I may be up for some longer lines once the lift goes in the drivers side front drops off the chassis and down to near the coil perch and only has what looks enough lenght to suit the stock height , passenger side drops down to left of centre of housing seems like once 3" of lift goes in it may be at its limit aswell .

I have lifted my fathers 100 (98 mod) 2" a while ago and from memory he didnt have the driver side drop on the brake line , it came down im sure left of centre than ran left and right to the wheels .......did they change the setup with the later models ( or sumthing to do with the ABS system )?

So on short will I need em people who have lifted similair models any info the truck will never be taking anything hard just eventually the odd medium family trip .....but I dont want be stretchin the lines when it does flex ...

I will check once I get em and get em in but if other peoples opinions /experience can help now I will get organised if I need to ..

cheers Dan

All but castor bushes are in and all is good ....brakes have enough umless you were chasing a full flex machine with sway bars etc removed .....

The Lift went in a piece of piss .... seemed far easier than even putting the 2" OME lift in my old boyz 100 .... and this was even with only fitting by myself .....so I was happy to say the least last night

Driving wise obviously its a bit floaty without the castor bushes in but its exceptable ......may be worse once the 315's on with the larger wheel mass it may get a bit more feed back through the steering .........And it has a very slight front shaft vibe will see what its like once the front pinion comes back down a touch with the bushes ......but it may need a cardin joint in the front but time will tell .

Ride wise from the intial drive home it seems better than stock ......
