Radiator questions

Post by Area54 »

Ok, looking for a radiator to replace my old, decrepit, rust filled current radiator.

Vehicle is a 2.4 diesel (2L) LN65 hilux, manual, Air conditioning, naturally asthmatic, but soon to have a turbo as soon as the reco motor is run in.

Due the common thing of cracked heads and blown gaskets etc often seen in these motors (2L) what other options are there?

1. surf radiator (4 core - any fitment differences - closer to fan?)

2. custom (spendy - prob not needed)

3. recore my current radiator (3 core) or equal new replacement.

The front bumper is a design problem that restricts airflow somewhat, might even put a manually switched small thermo in front of the a/c condensor just to help with low speed work.
