Turbo advice for 1HZ 80 Diesel.

Post by bsquared »

Hi, I am new at this. I am looking to boost the power on my 1HZ Diesel 80 series, cause I am now using it more for towing a large van and less 4WD. Thinking of putting an after market turbo on as one option, or maybe having LPG unit fitted. Can anyone recomend a place I can go in Melbourne Metro Area, to talk about supply and fitting a turbo. I want somewhere I can trust to advise if it is feasable and will not charge an arm an a leg to supply and fit. In other words someone who knows what their doing, and not a back yard shonky job. Any suggestions. Any help would be appreciated, thanks Brad. :?:

really - we would never have guessed.

Technical question srelating to a specific vehicle manufaturer should be directed to the specific forum. In you case - Toyota would get a lot more relevant answers.

Perhaps a Mod for Chit-chat can more this, and delete the non-relavant replies...

Given he's asking for a joint that probably supplies aftermerket turbo's for more than one brand, it could probably be useful to other people?
EDIT: Ohh, i see...

I've heard ATX in dandenong are a good choice, but have no experience with them myself.

PM dumbdunce, if he will fit one of his 1hz turbo kits to it for you it'd be worth your while to drive it to Sydney, wait the couple of days it takes and drive home.
