Hi all
Im traveling in canada and have met someone who makes left hand drive high steer arms. Hey says he can make right hand drive arms.
I just want to know exactly what the difference is with left hand drive arms and right hand drive arms.
Is the stud pattern the same?? cone washers the same??? etc.
if i can get exact specs i may be able to get a few pair made and bring them back as carry on luggage...........$0 shipping ;-)

i contacted a company in america about getting some for my 60 series cruiser and i wanted to just swap them over left to right but i was told they wouldnt work
i dont imagine them being that different, i would only think a little bit of heating and bending is all that is needed to swap the american ones for ours
but if they will make them cheap enough it would be well worth it
ive had troubles finding some in aus so i just left mine as a spring under and lifted springs for now

he said he could do some right hand specific ones. (Wont hit tyres). just need to know if the way they attatch to the knuckles is different
Basicly, is it the exact same diff with left hand drive? from these specs i should be able to get some made.

you can get these arms in aust but your looking at around $1k for the full setup with rods etc.
yeah the holes etc are all the same as far as i know just gotta make sure all the angles etc are right. places in the states will make em aswell but dont usually unless you order like 10 sets as its not worth the time and hassel to make them

Drop Bear wrote:the stud size, orientation and taper should be identical whether its a US lux or Aussie. Youll need 2 holes for rod ends on the passenger side and 1 on the driver.
US kit..
the setup needed for for right hand drive is a mirror image of these.
You can do it with one hole each side and pick up the steer drag link on the tie rod end 80 series
Lockers or Knockers ,both will make for fun.
