hilux hand brake

Post by dominic »

my hand brake only works half the time,
if the front of the car is facing down the incline it does nothing.
if the front of the car is facing up the incline it works ok.
i have a long range tank installed and the cable has to strech a bit around it but i have adjusted it and it makes no differance.
am i missing something?
should i try adding an extension(can make up load bearing cables at work)so that the cabke is not tight and adjust the cable back to its standard position??

cheers

Take it back to the place you got it done at and kick up a stink about the brakes not "Self Adjusting" since you guys touched it and "Not working well" since you guys touched it etc etc. They will probably do it for free, it doesn't take long.
