Post by STIKA »

Has anyone had any experience with Toyo Open Country A/T tires

What conditions are they beeing used in?

How do they rate against other brands?

What sort of ware and millage are people getting from them?

Any other comments?

Thanks

they have a good following on Exploroz by tourers as a good wearing tire in the outback.

We have run them on a variety of vehicles. We've found them great as an about town tyre with a bit of beach work and mild offroad. Mileage isn't too bad as long as you keep rotations and alignments regular.

I put on a set of 295-16's about 3 years ago and have just replaced them after 87000km on my wifes TD 80 series cruiser and have replaced them with the same thing. Would never concider anything else as fas as a allterrian tyre goes. Everyone i know that put them on has been totally satisfied.

The ones i looked at for the pathfinder were 245's didnt look much more than an HT, I suppose in the larger sizes they would be more aggressive like a BFG AT?

I have them on my Hilux and have found them to be sensational. They are only used for Road, i have other tyres for wheeling, but they have been on there for about 20,000 so far and i havent noticed any loss in tread, other than becuase my front tyres needed an alignment.
Thanks Russell
