Starter motr problem???

Post by macklux83 »

hi guys,i have just replaced my clutch and as such had to remove the starter motor, the car is starting fine but the starter gets hot and seems to be draining the hell out of the batterys,i replaced on 2day that is less than 12 months old and put the new one in and after starting it and running it for 10 mins it does not have the charge to start the car again, could this be the starter motor or maybe something draining the battery?

Is the starter motor grounded properly?

Or is it possible the main power cable to the starter is shorting somewhere, due to you knocking something when you did the clutch?
This is not legal advice.
