warn xd900 wiring diagram

Post by blackmav »

Firstly I suck at the search and this is as good as I could gethttp://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... 0+solinods

I have bought a second hand Warn XD 9000.
It appears to only have a positive cable and a small solinoid lead to hook up. Is this right or is there something missing, like an EARTH?
Havn't opened up the the controller box yet

There is an earth to a bolt on the opposite side of the motor to the 3 studs that have cables back to the solinoid box.
The earth goes back to the battery direct.

Cool. Just had a look and the bolt is still loose so all I am missing is a cable . Didn't notice the bolt before.
Thanks

Just a note, but that diagram shows the old style 3 pin controller plug. the newer ones use 5 pins and switch the earth as well as the +ve side of the solenoids. A remote switch for a 5 pin setup is a little different.

lol. Thats better! Although that method does not isolate the hand controller through the master switch, so someone could still turn your car into a banana if they wanted. :)
