shoot a PM to hypolux, i if that doesnt work do a search for that name in the sarch function... He converted his lux to GQ's 2+ years ago.

Before you do anything!!!! get in touch with an engineer and speak to him as to what he wants when and if you do the conversion as he has the final say.
Cheers,
Dan.

Done over 40 of them. Have engineered 10 of them with GQ,s 15 with hilux and 5 with 80 series but with A frame rear and 5 link front coil all round. Why go back in time and do anything but coil, air or coilovers :?: :?: :?:
NOW ABLE TOO SAY WHAT I WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF LOOSING SALES.

Those bits of steel come from my shed.
Hand cut with the gas axe.
Yes the front diff is a Bundera.
The Coil and shock towers are Bundera .

Might be easier to put the whole lux onto the GQ chassis, one in Tassie with that mod, well done.

i am only running leaves in the rear. but leaning more to coils all round now.
my biggest problem with the lux body on the patrol chasie is getting the body to go over the gear box.

An old rangie will make a good donor for front suspension parts like arms, spring mounts, panhard rod etc - cheap too.
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

patrol diffs are about 200mm wider than hilux.
i measured from the back side of the disc to back of the disc cause still have wheels on both diffs.

I have just about finished my gq diff conversion under my lux.
Its running on the road but just need a few things to tidy it up.
I am running a 4 link triangulated rear with 6 inch springs in the rear.
And hillux leaves with 2 inch lift in the front.
Had it on a travel ramp last week and it articulates fantastic.
I talked to a engineer through the whole process to get the best advice on leagalities.
Only problem i am having is a hand brake.
I have a series 2 v6 conversion, with a 350 turbo behind that and it has been lifted flush with the chasis so geeting a disk that will fit against the transfer and clear the floor pan is my problem.
any one out their with an idea would be helpful
