racv are just taking there sweet ass time to do any thing
it has been writen off since march and i still have not receved any money two days after that accident i spoke to racv and asked them how much i would get and they told me 15,500 then two weeks ago i had them ring me offering me 5 grand ????? they told me that my gas system on the car is only worth $200 because most of the $$$ in lpg conversions are in labour cost which is not applicerable (which cost me $4000 2 months befor the crash ) they told me that my nudge bar and spring lift is worth nothing because of depreasion of the vichiel (nudge bar and spring lift is only 2 months old as well ) thay also said that my uhf gps 105 is worth $0 because they beleive it is a cb (am) ???

Make sure you fight them, it is common practice for insurers to deny claims or offer stupidly low money because most people just go o,ok and they save the rest of the money.

It took me 18 months to get my bike repaired after a crash but in the end it got fixed and was all paid for.

I used to work for an insurer so I know how they work.

As everyone else has said, STAND YOUR GROUND!

My bike was backed over by a Honda CRV last October and I still havent seen any money yet. The insurance company (swann) offered me $1000 (this is a $4000 dollar bike, CBR 600.). They itemised their assessment so I got them to send it to me and I rang round all the bike shops getting quotes on all the various parts. The bill came to a bit over $3500 so I sent it back to them and they have agrred to pay that value. Still havent seen the cash yet though :bad-words:

They are scam artists, dont be afraid to stick it to them.

Where abouts did you do that?
I have had claims through RACV for modified 4x4s, I just kept on thier backs and while not making a pain of myself, stood up for myself and basically got what I was entitled to. My 4runner was written of early December a few years ago and they paid out by Christmas and dropped the wreck in my driveway as well :D I did pay for it, but 2500 for a cabin fire damaged 4runner with 3.8V6, winch etc and solid axles isn't too bad.

Yes, keep on fighting. Even write to TV show eg. ACA as everytime they get involved the insurance suddenly is paid.

I have to say, I am insured with RACV and have made 2 claims in the past 2 year with post accidents happening off-road on tracks and being my fault. They paid up immediately without any hassles.
Thanks,

Adam

Mate when you say;

"SO THEY JIMMY BARED THE BONNET OPEN AND CUT ALL OF MY WIRES SO THERE WAS NO INSURENCE"

What do you mean ? :? ie the Insurence part I mean. :)

I cant speak for all CFA Brigade's but all Brigade's out this way are trained to cut at least the power lead from the battery at a MVA...to make sure there isnt any power sorce present....weather there is fuel present or not.
