i have a mate with a 82 bj 42 series in stock condition
and his wife is just about to have there first born soon
what he needs is any info on fitting a baby capsule in it
he has been told he requires a roll bar to assist in mounting seat brackets
is this true ?
has anyone had to go threw this ?

Is this the model with forward facing rear seats? You can get mounts that bolt to the floor for station wagons (brother has them in his missuseseseses car. I believe they're the same as the ones that bolt through your back panel - use fish plate under the floor.

I had a bar that was fitted at the back between wheel arches and was fitted by a racv recommend fitter. the seat was placed in the front and then strap went all the way back to the bar. I now have had a seat fitted in the rear thats has seat belts and 2 clips fitted to the floor. Note I didn't have kids in seat untill there child seat was forward facing, just because the bumps weren't so harsh.
