Well I'm back from Cameron Corner, spent a week travelling the state, seeing lots of interesting places and meeting the most friendly hospitable people around.
The Frontera held up nicely and so glad that I had the suspension work done before I went, made the corrigations seem almost like a smooth road....kinda I smashed all but one spotty and lost control on the Silver City HWY which was a major scare.
Found out on the way home that no matter how good or new your suspension is, (travelling 13 hours straight from Broken Hill to Sydney) it will show signs of overworking, like the 4WD we needed a well earned rest after that one.

Welcome back mate!
Pain in the arse about the spotties. I used to have Narvas similar to yours and they did the same thing. I think they're pretty fragile spotlights and definately wouldnt recommend them. Weak mounting design. Definately worth paying the extra for some quality ones. I upgraded to some FET 115W from opposite lock and they've been great.
What do you think is the best way to secure spotlights to prevent them working loose? I finally got around to tightening mine up the other day after about a year of them shaking around and after one offroad trip they're loose again. Ive tried twin nuts but I imagine there is some sort of lock nut available.

Noel have u tried lock-tight on the bolts?? im not sure if it will hold or not but sometimes that stuff can do amazing things. hope it helps.

I think locktite is the best option, I didn't mind that 3 of my 4 Narvas smashed, as I only payed $25.00 each But I guess no matter how much high speed rough track driving you do, there is bound to be somethings shaking loose.
I have to agree with you Noel that they are a fragile set up, as I knew the first one was smashed by a passing Mustang on the Menidee track, the others shock themselves silly and cracked under the pressure.
So time to save some $$ and get something brighter and tougher. Might also consider mounting them higher this time.
