I have been given four Yuasa UXH63-12 (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) Batteries and was thinking i could use one for my dual battery set up in the 4WD as my main battery has just about had it!!. Would replace the second battry with the Yuasa and swap the current 2nd battery with the main. Are these type of battery any good for this application. Would most likely be running a fridge etc.
Cheers!

Sounds like a battery from a telecom phone tower... Probably wont like vibrations too much - but hey its free.
There was normally 4 of them in a pack to make 48V.

Reading that link it says that it can be used for engine starting and utilities so i'm assuming it will work ok? and if it has a estimated life expectancy of 10 years then i wouldn't complain. I guess it may have a problem with vibrations from driving but it looks pretty solid??? I guess as long as its sucured in properly it shouldn't be a drama... What do you think?
