how do i identify a gear box.
its a hilux box but need to know wreather its a G52 or some thing else.
i cant find any part numbers!

can you get a photo or tell us what year it came out of or look on the pliance plate for the code

the dude i got it off said it was of a RN46 hilux. but it came with cross member the had been modifid. it had a plate welded on the back where the transfer case bolted to. this makes me think the box is not RN46.

what code should i be looken for i want to know what box is in 89 2.8d hilux. thanks

89 2.8 will be a G52... if its from a RN46 and is 5 speed, 99% sure its a G52

would both of them be gear driven transfer cases?
if i was to use a R151f gear box behind my v8 i would need to run a chain driven transfer case correct?
