honing td42 liners?
honing td42 liners?
Are you able to hone the bore liners on td42 motors using a flexihone? the liners still have hone marks but as expected that area is under the most stress so has worn to nearly nothing. i just dont want to put new rings in on bores that aren't honed......
Honey i cut the car in half!
Woop are you missing a 0 ? hope so or my td will never be pushed past idle again
cheers fnq

Josh any pics for those of us interested in seeing this type of stuff? The liners themselves are less than 1mm thick so you could probably hone them if they arent too worn. Nissan do sell oversize pistons, so you could probably do it.
cheers fnq

i'm too technomologicaly challenged to do that.
But its a big work in progress this engine, converting my petrol to turbo diesel, lots of work ahead yet

cheers fnq
