i have a problem with my front brakes it keeps binding, i resently service them and the master cylinder and still they keep locked when i release the brakes, this thing pissin my off now i dont know what to do now
HELP thanks
i think i`ll endup doin that, i was tryin to fix it myself because the labour cost in the shop is kinda expence but for safety i`ll spend the money (there goes my rims and tyres )
yeah calipers most likely got rust ridge behind the pistons. if your trying to save some dollars pull em apart & hone em out. If not sure but go to brake shop. after all man they are YOUR BRAKES
from dim memory....( an expert may help here) if ya cak up when you put the master cyl back together it can not release the pressure on the brakes when you release the pedal...try releasing the bleed screw after the brakes have locked on.... if fluid squirts out there is still pressure if not it must be in the calipers
Just got my Hilux ('91) brakes done:
Extended Braided brake lines
80 Series master and booster
New DBA rotors
New Ultima pads
$500
STOPS ON A DIME
I think i could do endos if i wanted
It no longer pulls to the left under braking; when this happened it was because it would lock one wheel and leave the other released
Got mine done by "All Brake and Clutch" at Rocklea South Brisbane. I big shout out for them as they were the only people that would do it and i rang heaps. One other place said they would; but to drop it off and you will get the bill, not even an estimate would be given. (Bends over and is told there will be no lube)
