Mitsubishi Challenger Problems

Mitsubishi Challenger Problems
Hi Guys
I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Challenger running on Dual Fuel Petrol/Gas
I have to keep turning the engine in the morning for a good 10-20 seconds before it will start and when it starts it is quite rough until it gets warm.
Also having problems with the 4WD Engage lamp, when i switch to 4WD either 4H or 4L the lamp flashes imtermittently and fails to come on solidly.
Any ideas or seen this before?

James, AFAIK, the Challenger doesn't have Super Select, so doesn't have the front axle disconnect. I think it has auto free-wheeling hubs, which is probably where the flashing light problem originates - but I'm guessing.6G74 wrote:Do a search for the flashin lights, or visit the pajero club forum - there are numerious topics on this, basically its most likely dirty sensor in the from diff.
Are you starting on gas or petrol? If gas, how long since its installation??
Scott
Definately make sure you are starting the vehicle on petrol not gas

Yes it is but there's something wrong with the text and all the pics he had are gone.
It was a really good article.
My guess is it's the free wheeling switch thats located next to the front diff or either one of the solenoids (not sure where they are exactly on a Challenger).

Edit: Looks like the host site has had some hacker problems. I've copied the article to OL, but the photos don't work. Hopefully BlogEasy will recover, or HongKonger may move it to another host?
