Running leafs backwards?
Hey,
Wondering if this is possible.
If u have a spring with length at 1100 and centre at 575 from the shackle to pin. therefore u have 525 at the other end. Is it possible to swap these around and then get 525 at the front? Thinking this will bring the f/r rear forward/backward 50mm?
would the springs work like this at all.
Allowing steering and shackle mods as well where needed.
thanks
Nic

you can get away with it in the rear... front not as easy.
the mod you talk about can be done. no wuckers..... just steering and castor / pinion angles will be affected...
ive had my rears flipped aounf the other way 12 months now and still sweet as and flex well

Hmm ok, guessing does nothing to the badly effect the life of the springs.
guessing if it were only 20mm, caster being out would be less of am impact.
Just getting some ideas and working out some spring lengths.

well.... my rear springs are 8 inches longer on one side... when i flipped them around i only had to adjust my castor marginally..... your amount of castor wont be much...nicbeer wrote:Hmm ok, guessing does nothing to the badly effect the life of the springs.
