GU CV Removal shortcuts

Post by 85lux »

i need to pull the diff center out. so the axles must come out also.
i know with toyota i have just removed the circlip on the end of the axle, the wiper seals from the knuckle and the kingpin caps. then the knuckle wiggles off allowing you to remove the axle. that way i didn't touch calipers or wheel bearings. does the same apply for a GU? or must i start from the outside and work my way in to the cv, taking everything apart?

thanks
jim
