How do you wash a car. Oh leave it in the rain. lol What happen with the hazads are on. If a globe is out on the right side and the flasher cam is on the way out it could happen. Not enough load. Try the flasher from another car. and check all the globes. I also heard of alarm/ keyless entry etc flasher relays sticking. Sounds unlikely in your case.

replace the combination switch, the "indicator cancellor" is mechanical, not electrical.

Oh is that what he meant. The stalk stays down. I would just live with it.

have you changed the steering wheel recently?

they have two pins on the rear that knock the indicator stalk back to centre (off) position.

or maybe one of these pins has broken or fallen out?

check that before buying an indicator stalk.

Ok firstly what do you mean? do you mean the stalk stays down so you have to manually turn it off, to stop it flashing?

Or (which is how i saw it) After he washed the car the indicator doesnt flash i.e the bulb stays lit up instead of flickering so he has to turn the indicator on and off by using the stalk.

which theory is correct???

i would just have a quick look at your trailer plug wiring first see if they are snapped and contacting each other.

If the problem is that the light doesnt flash and just stays on, physically check that all the bulbs are ok. (walk around the truck and look to see if they are going.)

I had the same problem (light stays on and doesnt flash) and finally saw that the rear indicator bulb was buggered so replaced it...... worked fine then.
